Brazil Travel: Buzios' Beaches


The center of Buzios has a dock and a couple of beaches, ie, Armacao and Bones (beach bone). From here, the beaches are Azeda and Azedinha accessible via a short walk from Bones. Both are small beaches, and the second is so small that its length can be crossed in 40 steps.

The following is João Fernandes beach, which is popular for its bars and seafood offerings. It is also a popular place for beach parties. A few steps inland, there are a variety of accommodation ranging from for all budgets.

Ferradura beach is 1.5 kilometers in length and shape of a horseshoe. It is ideal for water sports because of its calm waters, jet skiing and wind surfing, for travelers interested in eating and drinking, there are restaurants, bars, small food kiosks. The beach is surrounded by elegant summer houses. The nearest Ferradurinha tucked away in a rocky cave and has water so clear and calm which is like a pool. Being refined for kayaking or a romantic beach picnic. Both beaches are located near the center of Buzios Praia do Canto in the side.

For visitors seeking a break from the beaches, Buzios has few ecological reserves that show the flora and fauna of the Atlantic forest. The reserve Emerências forest species in danger of extinction and an extensive system of walking trails. About 30 minutes from Búzios, there's Healthy and Casimiro de Abreu reserves. Meanwhile, visitors to the complex eco-cultural Taua, a private project will enjoy a colorful collection of native birds, butterflies and flowers.
