Earn extra money from A Beach house

If you are fortunate enough to have an amazing vacation home that is near or on the beach and you want to earn extra money out of it, then offering it up for beach house rentals can give you the extra cash that you are looking for. Many families and vacationers are starting to turn to rental vacation homes as their preferred means of accommodation instead of booking a room at a resort or hotel. So if you have one that has great potential and a great location, why not have it rented out and earn extra cash to spend for the maintenance of the vacation home?

Once you have decided to offer it up for beach house rentals, one of the first things that you should do is create a website for or join some affiliate websites that could include your property in their list as a possible destination for a beach house rental. Make sure that you have pictures of the property and put in a nice description to further entice viewers to rent it. It is also a good idea to register your property in Google maps so the viewers can take a virtual tour of the location and the vicinity of your vacation home.

Joining forums and social networking sites are also a good way to advertise your beach house rentals. Signing up for social media sites is free, so why not take advantage of it and create links back to your network of friends pointing them to your website and at the same time showcasing your property for rent. You can also consult a few advertising agencies if you have the extra budget so that you can make sure that the advertising campaign you will launch will be successful. A beach house could be a very lucrative source of income so make sure you are taking advantage of yours!

The Beautiful beaches of Spain and Portugal

There is no better escape from the hassle and stress of life in the city than taking a vacation on one of the stunning beaches in the world. The luxury of feeling the warmth of the sun shining on your body, giving you that tanned and sun kissed look. More than perfecting a tan is the feeling of serenity, calming fresh air and the soothing and relaxing water hitting your feet. These simple pleasures are enough reasons to plan a vacation to one of the most popular beaches in the world. Aside from this, you can also feel the fresh breeze coming off the ocean, a great way to combat the heat. Walking on the sand is one of the many things I enjoy while "beaching". We are fortunate to have access to some of the most breathtaking beaches known to mankind. You can find some really beautiful beaches in our world to fascinate you. In this article, I will share with you some of the famous beaches you can visit in Spain and Portugal.

Spain oh Spain! How I love your journey of beaches! Spain is surrounded by water on three sides and therefore the country has many beautiful beaches, which are known to be the best in the world. Since there are so many beaches to choose from, visitors are often confused on where to go. Below describes some of the most popular picks of Spain's beaches.

Playa Concha in San Sebastian - La Concha beach is considered as one of the best beaches of the European beach cities. It is located in the city of San Sebastian, which is a popular tourist destination in Spain. The city is credited with originating tapas or appetizers, which you will find served in abundance here of the hot and cold variety. The La Concha beach is known for providing visitors with a lot of water sports such as kayaking, canoeing and windsurfing.

Playa de Estorde - This beach is located about 80 km southwest of La Coruna, in Galicia. Playa de Estorde is a very long beach, which stretches of about 500 km, and is pure white sand and amazing aquamarine water. A truly amazing way to spend a romantic vacation, honeymoon or adventure!
Costa del Sol - Consider the most popular series of beaches in Spain, Costa del Sol is particularly well-known for being the venues of the party-going crowd. Located on the southern coast of Spain, these beaches tend to be very crowded. Brits and Germans regularly spend holidays in Costa del Sol and many own vacation homes here. But if you want, you can go off track to find some calm beaches.

Second would be the country of Portugal which claims as its main attraction their famous and beautiful beaches. Portugal beaches are certified by FEE as blue flag beaches making it ideal for families. Safe for all and environmentally aware, Portugal's 800 kilometers of coastline is a great way to spend your vacation any time of the year!
Algarve - One of the most famous beaches in this area is the 6 km long Praia de Falesia or "beach town". Especially popular with German and British tourists are the resorts of Albufeira and Vilamoura. Praia de Falesia is a paradise for lovers of sun and is located in a quiet setting along the southern coast of Portugal. Other popular beaches in the Algarve region are: Praia da Gale, Albufeira and Meia Praia in Lagos. Meia Praia would be the choice for families and those seeking calmer waters, as it is protected by a large bay near Alvor Praia Praia da Rocha / Portimao.

Alentejo - Stretching from the Algarve to the Sado Estuary this rugged coastline is also graced with many small beaches. Most of them are secluded in coves along the coast which require transportation by car from the airport or inland area. Vila Nova de Milfontes is an exception since it can be accessed by bus from Lisbon. Other beaches that should not be missed are Gale Melides, Santo André, Porto Covo, and Almograve Zambujeira do Mar. Alentejo is becoming a retreat for Northern Europeans looking to escape their overcrowded countries.

Lisbon or Sintra Coast - The popular resort of Lisbon is mainly occupied by Costa da Caparica a large sandy beach which is very busy and very popular especially during the summer in Portugal. It is popular for sunbathing, enjoying the cafes and bars and surfing as well. The Sintra-Cascais Natural Park is one of the 13 Natural Parks of Portugal. Other beaches to visit along the coastal region are the beaches of Sesimbra and Portinho da Arrábida beach. These beautiful beaches are relatively quiet and extremely popular among divers.

Tips for Visit Greece Beaches

How do you choose the right beach for you? Are you searching for activity and services or a quiet and solitude commune with nature?

The Greek islands have beaches galore to suit every preference. They frequently score among the top ten lists for favorite beaches world wide. What makes it interesting is that each beach has its own style and character and even that varies daily with the direction of the cooling breezes or high winds as they are less charitably known. Many beaches along the varied Greece coast are small and remote; just right for the two of you, wink.

But for now I want to write about the popular, full service beaches. This type of beach always has umbrellas for shade with lounges as well as food and drink on offer. Most also provide a mix of activities such as wind surfing, kayaking, banana boats and the like. The last few years we have also seen a new service: Asians giving low cost massages. Personally, I have never had one but they do look like a pleasant way to break up the tedium of sun bathing.

But evidently the bureaucrats don't agree, on Crete at least. In the first two months of the 2011 season on the beaches there they have arrested 25 foreign nationals for being unlicensed masseurs. From my own experience in Greece I know it is next to impossible and very expensive for a foreigner to get a business license. So effectively they are eliminating this service. The local Greeks have jobs that pay much better.

Perhaps this police crack down is a result of some beach goers complaining about having their tranquility interrupted. I know some beach vendors can be a nuisance. My response is to go to one of the more remote beaches if you want total peace.

My all time favorite example of a valuable service offered on the beach was on the party island of Ios; an old man was peddling small watermelons and other fruit from baskets on his donkey's back.

This subject reminds me of the crack down on street performances on our island of Paros years ago. It used to be such fun to stroll along the harbor front watching the jugglers, dancers and musicians. Then suddenly they were gone as the police started requiring a license from every performer. No longer was there much joy or excitement along restaurant row. Thankfully, however, either the license edict was relaxed or the police found something else to emphasize because the performers are back, although in smaller numbers it seems.

So we will have to wait and see if the licensing foolishness infects Greece beaches this year or if it is like most regulation in Greece, seldom enforced.

Uncommon tips to do at beach

The beach isn't just for kids and teenagers. All the family can enjoy the shore provided, of course, there aren't "elbow-to-elbow" tourists. You can also do more than just get a tan (or a sunburn). Get up and get active with some of these suggestions. The old favorites are always fun which is why they're still popular. You can toss a foam rubber ball Frisbee, play with a beach ball (nice because they deflate for easy carrying and storage), go inner tube surfing (cheap and increasingly harder to get but you can also deflate them). Don't forget your sand sculpture or sand castle building tools. Here are some other suggestions to consider for enlivening your beach resort vacation.

 Collect driftwood
Especially if you're of a creative bent, this can be not only a unique, but profitable pastime as well. What figures or forms do the driftwood shapes conjure up in your mind? What might they look like when painted or polished? How might you mount or display them?

 Collect shells
Long a popular beach pastime with children and adults alike, it can still serve as an interesting activity for the kids (or you). Even more so if you're on a new, foreign or strange beach which may well offer up some unique surprises. Make a collage, a display or shadow bow of your best finds when you get back home.

Catch crabs and crustaceans
We used to walk along in the surf of the Chesapeake Bay with a framed meter-square piece of window screen to trap all kinds of small crabs, crustaceans, sand worms and even small fish. It made for an interesting series of "catches" and provided endless hours of simple fun for me and my siblings. With eleven younger brothers and sisters, it also kept us out of "trouble" or at least reasonably so. Sometimes a fisherman would buy our "catch" for use as live bait, much to the profit of the local ice cream vendors.

Surf fishing
There are all manner of collapsible of multiple piece rod and reel kits you can easily pack in a suitcase or store in a car trunk. Whip it out, local regulations and conditions permitting, and try your hand at whatever the regional waters offer. Some surprisingly large catches can be made in less than two feet of water. Just put on a snorkel and dive mask, wade out to waist-deep water, stand still for a few minutes with your face in the water. You'll often be thrilled at the number and size of the fish and other sea creatures you'll see all around you below the surface. In many tropical waters, it's like standing in an aquarium.

Catch live bait
As was mentioned earlier, like bait can often be sold to local fishermen (or use it yourself). Use a cast net, walk along in knee-deep surf with an old window screen and bucket. Minnows, crustaceans, sandworms, small eels and crabs are all susceptible to this method. Be sure to check local regulations first. Keep them alive and fresh in a bucket partially filled with water.

Relax or get a "surf massage”
Soak and soothe those aching bones with a relaxing massage. In numerous resort areas there are locals who offer this service right at the beach. Be sure to negotiate prices before services are rendered to avoid any price gouging. Another alternative is to let the sea and surf "massage" you as you lay there. It's free and the surf never gets tired or overcharges you. Sit facing the surf with your legs outstretched. Move forward until the surf covers you up to the belly button. Change positions forward, backwards or other variations as the surf changes.

Go walking
Already identified as a "best" exercise activity, walking is almost always pleasant. Walking on dry sand gives you more of a "workout" than walking on sand that is still damp from the receded surf. For maximum huff and puff, try walking in the surf itself. A normal rate of walking is a mile and a half in fifteen minutes, so a thirty minute walk is a good workout for the day. Fifteen minutes out, fifteen minutes back to your starting point should do you nicely.

Beach club for your recreation

If you want to have a vacation like none other, you need to go to a beach club resort. The reason that they are so much better than your standard hotel is because they combine the relaxing aspects of the best vacations while providing you with a chance to meet and have fun with people of all ages and backgrounds. You can choose to do both or do either, and having the option makes a huge difference. The best part is the fact that they are quite a bit cheaper than the standard hotel.

You're probably thinking that if staying at a beach club resort is so much cheaper what is the catch? There really is no catch. The room will not be quite as fancy as it would be if you were staying at a standard resort, but there is no reason for them to be. You will be spending the most amount of time on the beach, hanging out with people, and doing activities. When you retreat to your room for sleep, you won't be thinking about the fact that it is slightly smaller than it could have been.

What if you want to just go on a romantic getaway with that special someone in your life? Is it worth it to go to a beach club? The answer is yes, because you have the option of just doing activities by yourself and relaxing on secluded beaches. You will just end up paying less because the resorts are more affordable. The whole time though, you will have the option to talk to other couples, hang out with people, and just have a good time. Still though, you will never feel like you are surrounded by too many people to get some peace and quiet, as most of the people hang out at specific areas away from the rooms.

If you have ever been on a vacation to a nice beach area like San Diego, Hawaii, or South Florida, then you know how awesome of a time you can have. Of course, staying at a beach club resort is unlike any other experience you will have at a regular hotel, and it is considerably less money. There are even packages that include airfare, food, and activities like golf, massages, horseback riding, hiking, water sports, and more. Plus, when you book your stay before the summer months start to roll around, you will save quite a bit more.
